Stupid coolant resivour question
Good evening, all:
Got a question for anyone here. I just did the plugs on my A6 (not so bad, other than the one bloody bolt on the coil for cylinder #4! I don't have the fingers of a gnome!). When I swung the coolant tank out of the way, I was shocked to see a hose flapping in the breeze! After a moment of pondering, I realized that it's an overflow hose. Question: where is it supposed to be routed to? I just stuck it aiming down toward the bottom of the car and let it dangle. Knowing Audi, it has some special bracket/socket that it's supposed to be sitting in. Thanks! -Red |
RE: Stupid coolant resivour question
Nope, that hose just dangles there, when the coolant tank overflows it just throws the coolant towards the ground. Pretty primative for a german vehicle, but what the hell.

Let me tell you about how much that hose sucks when the tank pushese overflow out (long story issue resolved) as you are flying down 95... it's amazing the places coolant can go and fit.... |
