Default Hole in Transmission???how much fluid

Ok i was looking over my tranny etc preparing to do the clutch job...anyways i discoverd a 3/4in hole that you can viev the flywheel through so i freaked out for a minute then called andrew and asked him about it he told me yea its normal but should have a plug in it so that relived me now i need to get a plug to plug it for when i put my spec stage 2+ in...Here is a pic of the hole i am talking about:

I am wondering if this is the plug for that hole? If not then I guess i will just have to manufacture a plug...

In case you want to look at yours to see if you plug is here this pic shows where it is its on the tranny close to the motor the yellow arrow points to the realitive location

when are you starting your clutch job?

can't wait to see all the OMG threads during that process. hope it doesn't end with a picture post of your TT flatbedding on its way to a shop to complete the job.

good luck.

Why not just run to the audi or vw dealer? THey will also confirm it for you. It says its on all the 02M trannys so both places will have it. Not to mention you can have it now.

LOL I saw this exact same thread somewhere else recently...with the exact same question and exact picture (well not the exact picture but you get my drift) Apparently this little hole confuses a lot of people.

I had a guy help me top off my tranny oil once in my 4000, he dumped about a quart of oil down that hole thinking that was the fill. Most ran out the bottom fortunately, but still a PITA for a while.
