Im looking into the G2 caliper paint, they sound pretty good, not sure of the color though thinking red or yellow. Have a silver 2.7 A6 with 18" hyper silver rims. Dont want it to look rice so any good suggestions or even just keep it stock. And if any comments or helpful tips of how and when to aply it like running into problems. Thanks

I am looking into changing my caliber color too.. or rather, to paint them. I want them bright red, like the Porsche. What was suggested to me was to take them off, take them completely apart, get them powder coated and rebuild them.

Place quoted me around $300 a caliber. Seems expensive, rather do it myself, send them out to get coated and do the rebuild myself. Not sure of the cost to powder coat, but should be no more than 75-100 a caliber. Also like to see if I can get a set of used calibers and paint/rebuild them without having to layup my car for a week by rebuilding the ones on it, then give the place my old ones back for full refund. I will talk to a wrecking yard about that.

Did read from somewhere that there is a place that will do what I mentioned above. U order the caliber in the color you want and return the old for a core charge. Will do a quick search and post the links now....

i used some bremssattel-lack, i believe thats it (dont bother googling it unless u can read german/dutch lol). its really good, its a 2 layer compound that u brush on, i posted this somewhere else, but neways. a spray just goes on the caliper, so u can see cracks and nicks in the caliper, this stuff u have to mix with a hardner and brush onto the caliper. kit comes with hardner, paint, and a cleaner. when dry its almost a plastic like feel, but is never supposed to crack/wear out. and the finished product is really impressive. the main language of the paint was german, then english (uk) dutch and then french i think. so u know its gotta be good if german is the primary language

Boston Driver,
Excellent job on the calibers - makes me want to do it this weekend. Doesn't seem too difficult, just time consuming.
