Hi,
I am new to this site and I need some help. I want to put spacers on my car, i have the stock 17' rims with 255 45 tires. I want to keep the stock rims, i am not sure what is the offset. Can somebody tell me what kind of spacers and how many "mm" should i look for and where would be the best site to find these spacers!

It would be very unwise for anyone here to tell you what size spacer to put on your car because if the size is wrong, chances are your tires could end up rubbing the insides of your wheelweel. If you have a stock (factory) 17" wheel, chances are its a 45mm offset. You might be able to confirm this by looking at the inside of the wheel. Nevertheless....to determine the approximate size spacer to fit your car is to do this.....
I am assuming you are on a factory suspension.....
1. Put you car on a flat level surface
2. Check your tire pressure and make sure they are all the same
3. Get a thin piece of thread or butchers twine.
4. On one end of the string, tie a decent size nut to it. (This will provide the weight. You are basically making a plumb-bob)
5. Pick any wheelwell and look at the inside top of the wheel liner at the fenders edge. (If you choose a front wheelwell make sure the wheel is straight)
6. Determine where the tire would rub on the inside fenderwell liner (Use your best guess and pretend your car has been lowered)
7. Once you determine where your tire would "possibly" rub, mark the spot with a yellow crayon.
8.Take your string (the end without the nut tied to it) and place it at the mark you made on the inside fenderwell liner and let the weight of the nut dangle freely and it will give you a straight line.
9. Now look at the string hanging and notice it is vertical with your tire. Measure the distance between the string and the tire and you now know what space you have to deal with.
10. Note - 25.4mm is equal to 1 inch.
Remember you are trying to determine how far you can get your wheel out to the edge of the wheelwell without rubbing.
You can get spacers from anywhere....AWE Tuning, AP-Tuning, NGP Racing, etc....
I don't think you will need a spacer that has a built in hubcentric ring.

Hey BD, are those RS6 mirror covers on your 4.2? I am looking into those for my 2.7. Any ideas or input?
