lol yeah thats how it is around here... everyone was all kinds of suprised when I bought the Audi.  That wasnt the reason I bought it though. I drove the car, just felt like everything fit, and fell in love on the first test drive haha

I'll be 19 next month.., and the only reason that I can afford my car, is because im a full time college student who works 40+ hours a week.. and I live at home.. that kind of helps too

being full time work and full time school, I almost have no time to spend money on other things lol.. so I just bought the audi, and end up spending about half of what I make on car payment/insurance lol

Oh, what the hell. Might as well get in on the party.

30.

Started wrenching with my dad when I was 12 and he had his own shop. We did primarily 50's and 60's British cars, so much so that I actually started remembering some Whitworth sizes (ok, they were mostly metric, but sometimes.....). He's mostly done with the DIY of things these days, but me...well...I've still got the bug. As a family, we've always had a thing for German and/or Sweedish cars. I gave that same bug to my fiancee, so she has the A4 (she's a former Honda driver) and I have the A6.

21 but people say im 25-27 nearly every day

I own 2 audis currently and didn’t spend more than $2000 buying either of them, and no that doesn’t mean daddy paid it means I paid and bought what is "vintage" on here haha.

and I work at BBM to pay for what I have done and do to them.

26, 27 in June, I have a 2001 A6 2.7T, went from a '94 Caprice to a '93 Integra and now the A6.

What will I be driving 3-5 years from now I wonder?

I was wondering, how does someone in the military afford the cars Madrussian mentioned, I'm an Army brat from Ft. Hood/Killeen, my dad was a E9 (toured in Vietnam) when he retired, he drove a beat up truck and I wore Attack Force and generic clothes all my life, was my dad just that fuggin cheap?!

I'll be 23 in May.  There seems to be a lot of early-mid 20 year-olds.  Maybe they're the only ones that don't care about telling others how old they are.

I think the real thing is most 40+ year olds could care less about modding cars. The guy I bough mine from was 50 and was said they didn't have the 2.8 in stock so he bought the 2.7t.

It looks like the people who buy these cars new are old geezers like me, and the people who buy them used and are into modding them are younger.

Haha, I think that about does it. I don't know many people who buy the a6 to mod. Most just think its a good sedan. I bought mine from a writer. the a4 or s4 is a diffrent story though! :)

Yea but the bad thing about buying a car from an "old geezer" is that since they have no idea they got turbo's or what the right maintenance is so appropiate warming up and cooling down methods are not used. But I guess that's the downside to buying used. Thank god both my turbo's are still good!
