Default Audi A4 B6 1.8T wipers erratic...

Anyone ever have a problem like this?

Yesterday my wipers were working fine at first when suddenly i went to hit the wiper switch for mist and the wipers stuck in the up postion. i hit it a couple more times then it was in the middle of the windshield. A few more times it would either land in the full UP position or in the middle. I then gently got out and forced the wiper into the down position - hit the switch - wiper landed in the middle again.

So i guess the question is; is there a limiter switch or something that is gone? Motor? what do i have to do?

Or possibly is the something in the electronics that i can hook up the vag-com to that might affect it?

Any help would be appreciated.

The one thing i fear is that i have to take off the wiper motor because last time i attempted to remove the wiper arm - it never happened. The arm connection is super clean but won't move. Tried different pullers, penetrating oils. Nothing would touch it.

Regards

Well, this is the same issue I had, correction, have. Except now the wiper linkage is screwed. And it cracked my windshield because of that screwed linkage. No one knows whats causing this? I'd really like to stay out of the stealership...
