Ok, just got my new APR turbo inlet hose and it's nto a match to the stock one. The new one is missing one of the connections. The package is labled "MS100001-B Compressor Inlet Hose - Audi B5 B6 1.8T". There is a brass Tee included, i guess maybe i can just tee off of the lower connection...... anyone been though this before?

very good question Cincy..... that i can't answer, i have the whole thing apart down to the belts, the air box and turbo are pulled out and everything is just kinda shoved aside so i don't know if i could line it all up to see where it when right now. hell, it's been apart so long i bet i put half the hoses on the wrong places when i start putting it back together.

it's the hose that exits the TIP next to the air box, the other four connections are all clumped together at the turbo side of the TIP. someone mind taking a peak at their engine and seeing where it goes to?

I think what I'm going to need to do is use the T fitting off the lowest of the two small exits (not the one the N75 connects to, the other) and patch off of that.

search on audizine, the APR tip is designed for the 02 model only (4 hole TIP). You need the T to make it work, i hear there is also some fitament issues with them....

This is the hose that ECS tunning has listed under the 2003 1.8t A4 Quattro. went with this one so i didn't have to drop $300 on the nuspeed.
Well i have this one so i guess i'll have to try it with the T and hope that having the connection right next to the turbo doesn't cause any issues. i'm sure there will be a pressure diffrence between the large end and the small (turbo end) of the TIP with the vacume being stronger at the new location but the question is how much of a diffrence and also how much of a range the hose i am reloacating will function properly with. I'll let you know if i end up needing a new engine.

you might can return it and get the forge which should bolt right up.. thats what ive seen several others do. APR is misleading with the fitament

i thought about returning it, i might call ECS and see about getting my money back. I am assuming they will want to do some shit like an instore credit only though and i really don't want to drop $300+ on the nuspeed.

I'm likely going to end up trying it out with the tee for now and selling it slightly used to a B5er if it if causes me problems.

I got the new exhaust, down pipe, and cat installed. just waiting on my turbo to come back. Think going to try to recenter the crank pulley for the accessory belt since the tensioner bounces at idle after i did the timing belt last summer while I'm waiting for the turbo.

Hey, I put that same one in this winter. Thats what the T is for. It is just a little funny trying to get all the factory hoses to fit right. I have not had a problem with it at all. Once you get it in, I noticed on mine that the turbo will start to spool a couple hundred RPMs faster. Let me know what you think when you get done.
