just finished cleaning my engine...and while i was down there in the air box side i noticed that there was some like muddy sludgie build up on the DV where it blows out the air but it didnt smell like motor oil..anyone got any ideas or is it just like dirt build up down there??? thanx

It is oil. It is the blow by from the engine. If you want to prevent this, you need a catch can. If it continues, you will have a pool of oil in the ic and have crusted oil in the TB which can cause more problems

Its nothing that throttle body cleaner can fix in seconds

WOnt change the fact you have blow by going into the intake. The only way you will stop that is with a catch can. They are simple to install and will keep everything free of oil. Just keep the valve the way you have it.

summit, jegs, ebay, basically any online parts stores. If you go with an ebay can, you will need to fill it with steel wool.
