Default Dealership screwing me??????

Can anybody shed some light on this for me..........
I have a B6 A4 with 35,600 miles, and in my maintenance booklet it shows scheduled maintenance at 25,000 and 35,000 miles. I am not a big believer in the changing of oil every 10,000 miles....I like to do it every 5K. Anyway I had an oil change done at 30,000 miles which Audi paid for. Today I brought it in for the 35,000 mile service (which is a major service)......and they sent me packing.....I was told I do not have enough miles on the car for them to do another service. They told me there needs to be a minimum of 8500 miles in between service trips for them to do "free" maintenance. That wouldn't really be a problem except my warranty is up on April 10th and the odds of me putting on another 2900 miles in a few weeks is 0%......are they screwing me out of my free service. How should I handle this? Could I have them perform all the 35000 mile service except the oil change for free...........feel like I'm getting hosed.

Default RE: Dealership screwing me??????

I would go to the dealership and talk to the service manager. If you approach him while calm and collected I bet he will try and help you out. Sincethey usually get the worst customers (that are F***** crazy) when they get a normal respectful person they generally help. I had a bunch of problems with a service desk douche and eventually the service manager found out, and now he checks in with me everytime I'm there to make sure I am recieving good service.

If that dosen't work I would write to Audi of North America and tell them the dealership denied you a service they were obligated to perform for free. You may have to bite the bullet and pay for the service now, but I've heard Audi is really good about refunding owners when they are rightfully owed money.

FYI.......Icalled AoA and they pretty much told me to pound sand and stated they will stand behind whatever the dealership decided.......I was a little surprised by this, but anyway........I did speak to the service manager (calmly), and he hooked me up. What they ended up doing was they bumped my mileage up so it looked like 8500 miles had passed since my last service.
Thought that was pretty cool of him to do.
