Default Lowering my audi, good choices?

I just bought a 97 audi 1.8t and wanted to lower this thing, also putting some new struts on the car because its the original suspension with 99,000 miles.

I found some bilstein struts/shocks package off of ebay for the 97-01 a4 (2wd only, which mine is) and I feel they are pretty inexpensive so thats all for my taste.

I also saw some tein springs on ebay that drops like 1.9" back and 2 and some in the front. Will these springs and struts/shocks all work together? I really want to lower this so when I go from the stock 16's to 17's or 18's I want the wheels to look somewhat tucked in the wheel wells.

If anyone thinks that this combo for suspension will cause a rough, or terrible ride, let me know.

Also, whats the best wheel size to go with? 17's or 18's? I am sure there are pros and cons for both.

Thanks for the help for a newbie guys.

don't know about the shocks, but i'd go with 17's for you wheel, less expensive and i think they fit an audi better than 18's. Personal opinion though
