Default no acceleration....

i have a 93 90s with the 2.8 v6. recently when i put my foot on the gas, it hesitates really badly and sometimes i have no acceleration at all. i do know that the check engine light does pop on and off once in a while but when i went to auto zone to see if they could check it they said they could not. i was thinking maybe it was the fuel filter (which auto zone also did not have!!) since it has 130k on it and is possibly the original. im not to familiar with the sensors on this car but im assuming that it could be this also. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: no acceleration....

the same thing has happend to me...I replaced the plugs, ran seafoam, put some more correct plug in because they were fouled up from the seafoam, replaced the orginal fuel filter (219k on it), replaced the non functioning throttle positioning sensor(thought that was the problem),cleaned the Throttle body and then found out my #3 and #6 valves are getting blowby and loosing compression. Do a compression.

your obd1 so i doubt many places can help you out, but from what ive seen with other car here with those symptoms it sound like you got misfires due to bad coilpacks. try a search on misfire codes.
