I've been dying for a performance exhaust!!! I dont have much luck finding any sites that support the A6. Looking for more power and a deeper tone. Any sugggestions?

RE: where can I get an exhaust system

Plenty of options available for your 2.7T. APR, Milltek, Supersprint just to name a few. Other options available too to customize, Vast Piggies, Magnaflow, etc. Google and you will find them!

Horsepower gains will be minimum, tone will be deeper but still quiet. Remember you are driving an A6 not a Honda. You can remove center resonators, install Hi Flow Cats, remove mufflers and install Magnaflo to get a better exhaust note. I run APR downpipes with Hi Flow Cats and a Milltek Cat Back Exhaust. I am removing my center resonators for a deeper tone.

Hope this helps!

remus is pretty much stock so if your looking for tone go a different route but working with a chip i love my system i felt a noticable difference as soon as hung it ... joeski is correct you wont gain HP from just an exhaust

Hey Joetm,

I noticed you are running K04's with your GIAC program. Is the program slated for the K03's? It looks that way since I also see you will be doing an RS4 platform. How does your car run with the K04's? Just wondering since I plan on doing K04's in the near future. My APR software update will come later on as funds present themselves!

Appreciate your info!!

i wish i had k04s haha but sorry for the confusion both k04s and ecu programing are to come soon ... lol ... however in my research which has been extensive on this topic you will get minimal gains if any unless you have the ecu reflashed and also a larger fuel pump with injectors to support the fueling ...

really the only stuff u need to buy to get to 500+hp is the k04s, fuel pump, injectors, and manifolds ... exhaust is recommended aswell as downpipes and more durable hose kit to support the boost ... from there u can be reliable and safe with the mod and add other mods liek y pipe and intercoolers as like you said the funds present themselves... i did have the chance to drive an a6 with k04s and it was like a freakin rocketship the turbos work WORKING at about 1500rmps! and there was no steering at all when i had it wide open

def an awesome mod ...dont know about for a daily driver bc the mpg on teh computer never went above 10 lol

i wanna see some 1/4mile times though ...anyone have the mod?? and run a 1/4??

I agree with you. In my readings, you definitely need the flash upgrade to accomodate the K04's for the added boost. I am definitely doing the in tank fuel pump, injectors, Bi Pipe from APR and the manifolds from Vast look solid being port, polished with a ceramic coating. Kinetic has a plumbing kit that you can purchase with your K04's as well.....the beefier plumbing is a must!

Come On tax refund!!!!
