Im about to buy a 1998 Audi A6 2.8 and have a couple of questions.
Firstly I was really trying to get a car with Nav but it seems that there are almost no A6's older than 2001 with Nav. Further, the 1998 A6 looks like a full screen Nav wouldnt fit because it uses a single din (or slightly wider) slot. In result, Im thinking of putting in a slide out touch screen Nav. Any comments on that?
Also, I havnt had a chance to drive the 3.2 or the 2.7t so I only know how the 2.8 drives. I found it alittle slow compared to my current Lexus SC400 (8cyl). How do the models compare in horsepower? Any preferences between any of them?
Lastly and possibly most importantly, the display in the middle of the cluster seems to have gone bad. Its not totally off, but its not legible. I understand I need to replace the whole cluster, not just the screen. Is this true? If so, how much is the cluster? and what would it cost for audi to install it?
Any other feedback would be greatly appreciated to help me make an educated purchase.
