Default Faulty wiring harness?

Anyone know of a common problem with 2003 a-4's having an engine wiring harness shorting out and causing fires? 2 1/2 weeks ago my 03 3.0L quattro caught fire in the engine compartment, got to it pretty quickly with an exstingisher so it was only a small fire but nowstate farm and audi are bickering over who's gonna pick up the tab. Is an 03 so there's no factory warranty nor do I have an extended warranty but there's only 39,000 miles on her. State farm claims Audi should pay for it cause it was caused by a faulty harness and they should take into account the low miles. The dealership says state farm is just trying to get out of paying, however now I understand Audi Corporation is now sending someone out to inspect the damage. So anyone know of this problem happening often or any recalls, the service guy at the dealership said he's seen it happen one other time. Meanwhile I have 8 days left on my alotted rental thru state farm, and the dealership says they're not authorized to give me a loaner. The tow truck driver, who is a friend said I should've let her burn to the ground...what a headache!
