First Aircraft detail/Pic

I detailed a Porsche 911 Turbo for a guy and when he picked it up and saw it he asked if I would detail his plane. I told him I never did a plane before, and he said "Great, this will be your first". So I drove out to look at it first, and thought it might be interesting. I enjoyed the experience, the only exception is that doing the under body was really hard work. He was so pleased with how the plane turned out that he asked for a stack of my business cards to pass out at the airport. I guess I just entered a new world. How do you like that instrument panel? Great opportunity-what was your detailing process? I usually use the Klasse twins and Plexus

(a word of caution-check to ensure that your buisness insurance will cover aeroplanes)

I used my own paint cleaner and sealant, as you can see it came out great. Thanks for the tip on my insurance, never even thought of that. Gary

plane is lookin good. ive been detailing airplanes for about 6 years now and it pays better than cars mostly because people have a lot more money wrapped up in their airplane than in their car and want to protect their investment. I actually started off in cars and moved to airplanes because it was more worth while to do it that way.

Hi Anthony, no pressure washer, all with a hose and by hand. Since this was my first one, I wanted to see what it was all about. The owner was pleased so I made by fliers to pass out at the airport. I was told the same chemicals can be used on the paint, and it worked just fine. My price has definately gone up already. The under body was a B___ch!!!!!! Gary

I'm sure you already know this but please be carfull with the windows. they scratch really easy and depending one what it in, can cost a fortune to fix. other than that nice job, and nice plane for that matter.
