Caliper Paint Drying Time

I picked up some Dupont caliper paint today and was hoping to do it tomorrow but need to drive it tomorrow night. Any idea how long I should let the paint dry before I drive with it?

Hiwords, remember high school kids today just download their homework now, so they don't know how to read the instructions on a can of spray paint. But that's not important as long as they get to graduate.

LOL. Seriously though, give each coat 10-15 minutes or so before applying the next coat (maybe more or less depending on how humid/cool/hot/dry it is where you are), and you should be fine. Give it a couple weeks to cure fully, then go back, clean them again, and hit them with clearcoat.

i redid my rears yesterday.... also wanted to put the s4's on....

but i painted one side... moved to the other, by the time i was done with the second side, i could recoat the first, and by the time i was done with the second coat on the second side i could put my wheels on.... granted it was about 55-60 degrees with little to no humidity

but as stated, take your time let it dry.. get tacky before you do your second coat... you will want/need more than one coat or the rusty looking caliper will show through

i didn't do clear coats, but i might this time around.... i am trying to find rings/audi logo to put on the calipers.... then i will clear them

Would you guys you have done yours before say this is the right procedure..

scrub off rust with wire brush
apply coat, let dry, apply second coat
put decals on
apply clear coat (one or two?)

im sure there is a good but thats the rough idea I have of the best way to paint them

I'm sure OP can read instructions on the can but sometimes its nice to get other peoples oppions or even professionals. So the paint will come out even better.
