Strange kinda vibration...

I have a 2004 Audi A4 B6 FWD (not quattro) - lately I think I notice something a bit strange. When turning and driving slowly is there something in the front end that can cause a sort of skidding? It feels much like when you are driving a 4x4 and because of all the wheels turning you get the sort of skipping/skidding? Keep in mind my car is NOT Quattro. Kind of hard to explain this problem - but I hope someone can shed some light.

it has been a pretty rough winter and the roads are not in great shape thats why i was thinking it could be something screwed up in the front end.

What can cause this? Ever happen to anyone.

Or maybe you need to change your power steering fluid. And check yout tire pressure.

By the way, even if you would have a quattro, your rear wheels dont turn.

Hmmmm, not sure if this is the same problem but my 02 1.8T also not quattro did this kind of thinga few weeks ago. Started out kinda soft then over a few days progressed into a really hard vibration. I barely got it to the dealership. Not sure what the techincal terms are but it was something to do with one of the arms meeting the wheel, it popped out and stripped. Total charge to fix was a little over $800. Which was not covered on the extended Audi warranty which I purchased.
Good luck~
