If you want to buy a BOV i would say look at Forge 004 (designed for 1.8T), but i know a lot people un HKS SSQQV also cause they are closed at IDLE.
If you wanna buy a DV, there are many different ones, but i think the most popular and trusted is Forge 007.
Some people say that if you put 007 in a reverse position, it would sound almsot like a BOV. I've tried, but nothing happened )) But i'm stock enginewise. BTW i'm running 004 now.

Ok, well i have been also talking to a lot of people and what i am confused about is
Forge 004 is that a BOV or DV some people are saying that its both and some are only saying that its DV so i am confused
I heard bad thing about BOV that they might damage the engine that for Europeans cars it recommended to have a DV.
So, I am more going towards the DV either Forge 004 or 006 or 007. I like the way 004 Sounds.
My other questions is how would it sound without Intake will it sound OK will it be able to hear it ? thanks.

Forge 004 is a BOV designed for our 1.8T engines. At idle, this BOV is closed so you shouldnt have any problems. I think HKS is closed too, but that was made basically for Japanese cars, but people run it on our cars. I dont think a proper BOV can damage the engine. Yes you can run rich (less mpg) but it is ok (at least for me).
And it doesnt matter what kind of car you have Euro or Jap, it depends on a turbo/engine your got.
And yes, a lot of us recommend to have a DV, but a proper BOV shouldnt damage anything on your car. As i have said, i have Forge 004 BOV isntalled now. There are some Hybrid valves which are BOV and DV at the same time. You can actually adjust it on how u like it.
I put a cone filter into my car first, it did make noise, but you could hear it (at least in my car) only from inside. Then i put a Forge 004 and now sounds kinda loud ))

Ok I am probably going to get Forge 004 But the only thing that is bothering me so much
is i hope nothing happens cuz anyone who i talked to they are not recommending a BOV that its
way better to get a DV it just sucks i dont wanna spend all that money and then something happening.
Give suggestions
