Default My new A4

Hey what's up guys. I'm new to the forums and just wanted to introdue myself. I just recently purchased a 2002 Audi A4 B6, and I'm loving it so far. I previously owned a Mazda and this was deffinately a big step up. The only picture I have of it so far is in my Sig. so enjoy!

What exactly does that do? Just put the back headrests on the front?

Yes, the rear head rests in my opinion have a nicer shape and look better. Then, the now rear headrests (stock front) stuck up real high hindering my rear view vision. It looks nicer in person, and it was easy to do. People over at AudiZine are going crazy for it.

Well this seems as good a place as any to jump in and introduce myself too. (Edit: Now I found the new-member intro thread on the main page, but I'll probably be hanging out in this forum anyway, so whatever!)

Am also a new owner of a B6 (geez, I think it's a B6) 2005 A4 Cabriolet 1.8T with 17K miles (photos below, still with temp tags). Totally stock (purchased from an Audi dealer), has three option packages but I forget what they are just now . It does have the CVT so I won't win any drag races but I'm really liking the fuel mileage. Around 26-27 in town and 32 on the highway so far. That's driving 75-80mph and I have the feeling I could get better still if I slowed down. But where's the fun in that?

Anyone who's ventured over to the Benz part of the world may know me from BenzWorld and PointedThree.com, where I am a moderator and occasional nuisance. I also drive a Mercedes CL500 (mostly on highway trips), and it's sweet, but one thing I really like about Audi is that you get the German quality & engineering without the stigma that MB and BMW seem to carry. There's really nothing obnoxious about an Audi.

Also: I'm also a bit obsessive about car care, and keep my 'nice' cars ridiculously clean and generally won't drive them in the rain, not because rain would hurt them but because it takes me about four hours' work to get them totally clean again. otoh, cleaning my cars is like therapy for me. The house, I let others clean, I can't be bothered, but I'd rather not have anyone touch my cars. Some of you guys probably know exactly what I mean.

I'm also looking at Avants lately b/c I think they're such a neat package and I could trade my pickup truck in for it. Not sure I could fit in though, as I'm 6-3 220# and the Cabrio is a tight fit already.

BTW: That's not me in the avatar, that's Julian Cope
