Default backup lights do not work

First post in this forum.

I have a 1995 Audi A6 2.8 (not a quattro), bought second hand about nine monthes ago.

My backup lights do not work. I have tried all the common stuff. Bulbs, fuses et al. Both do not work so I do not believe that it is the fixture (or receptacle or where ever you put the bulb) so I believe there may be a switch to replace.

1. Any ideas that may help!

2. Where is the switch?

3. Is there any special things to know about before I replace the switch?

Any help would be appreciated!

Tex
