hi folks !

i don't know what happened to my audi a4 1.6 automatic year 2000.. ihave checked with the mechanic and was told that the problem was related to the fuel adjustment.. i haven't got any clue at all..

the enginestopped automatically too frequent when i press theaccelerator especially when i stop at the traffic light. it is also stop when the car is going uphill or downhill but this happened quite seldom.. so, i need to drive on the flat land only :( when the car stop, a battery indicator sign will come out.

anyone out there came accross with this kind of problem ?

really appreciate any helps.

Have tried plugging a VAG to your car t see if there are any error codes? I bet this will help you.
You may also have a weak battery. Do you know when it was last replaced?

I am not sure about it but on some cars the fuel inlet would be at the rear of the tank and the tank being low on fuel could be causing a starving of the fuel pump. Being (facing) downhill the pump would be sucking AIR and starving the injecters.

The battery sign may come on due to a bad alternator or a bad connection on the alternator. Make sure to inspect the alternator and all connections on it very well. I recently replaced an alternator that had a bad connection and the stud connection to the battery was weak and eventually broke. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
