Default exhaust system fabrication

I have a couple Borla mufflers off a twin turbo Stealth/3000gt Borla system that I'm considering for use on my "new" Audi. What size exhaust are used in high quality/performance aftermarket exhaust systems on these cars, and are there any drawbacks to removing ALL the cats on this car?
I'm thinking 2.5" or 3" from the turbo to the tip with only a muffler for restriction/sound
I'm planning on installing a Turbonetics GT-K 650 as well as all supporting mods very soon, and need much more flow than a choked up stock exhaust will allow.
the Borla's are 2.5" inlet,
as for the downpipe /rest of the exshaust system, I have quite a bit of 2.5 and 3" SS tubing/parts and should be able to find some turbo flanges in my spare parts rack...
so...
whose system is best to copycat?

nice tone, your car sounds pissed!
So that's the Borla system made for our cars?
Are you running a"test pipe" or is the cat stillplugging up the system?

I'm guessing I'd get VERY similar results with a 2.5" in/out Borla muffler with 2.5 tubing from the turbo all the way back???
I live in South Florida where there is NO emission testing.
Anyone needing a stockCC, message me.
