Default ENGINE SWAP

Hi I really want to swap my A4 1.8T engine for something more powerful... what would be my options that would fit and require no plasma cutting and no huge modifications?? Thanks for your help!

well, I would just add a BAT (big A$$ Turbo) or just BT (Big Turbo) for the cost of an engine swap in this car you could have a real nice Turbo set-up and make some good numbers.

but if you are set on a swap look into 034 motorsports and their VR6-T swaps. or if you want to get creative and cut a lot of metal(which you already said you don't want ot do) then shoe horn an Audi V8 in there.

modding your 1.8t would be a much better idea. and cheaper. if 600hp (easily attainable with a 1.8t) isn't enough for ya, then you can step it up to a vrt, and then you make over 1000hp if your heart desires

So you guys would recommend that I just get a big ass turbo? What else could I do to get this "600hp"?

600hp can be had with a gt3076r and have a resonable amount of lag (20+ psi at ~4k). An idea of what you are looking for would help us more. If you are just looking for a decent 1/4 mile time, a smaller turbo will also do and make a great street car

hit up Mike@DTH. he has a full race package that can include a 3076r for a really good price. that setup is gona give you the most power your gona get and still be streetable. if you wana bore out your engine to 2.0, that will also help cut down on lag and give even better numbers. expect to spend a good amount of money tho. if you want more of a budget build that has less lag but still good enough to run 12's, go with an elim setup.

the 034 does not sell vr6t swap... the only sell couple of parts out of the whole swap. and yet you need a good welding machine and would be a good idea to have the plazma cutter too... and allot of cutting wheels for your grinder..

Ok so i would like to modify the 1.8T, I can spend overall around 3k on the engine. I was thinking a chip and intake and exhaust... these are just my ideas so far. I am a bass doctor, meaning that I only specialize in electronics and bass, so this is not my area; however i would like to make around 400 to 500+ hp. I need all the ideas I can get to make easy hp without doing huge mods or engine swaps. I am not doing quarter mile races or dragging. I simply want ~ 500hp and a street recognizable vehicle. I still need all of the help I can get, so please post as many ideas as you can! Thanks guys I appreciate it.
