Trunk Rattle w/ Subs

I have a serious problem of my trunk rattling when my subs are barely on. i have 2 12" JL w3v2's with a Kicker 450.2 pushing them. I honestly have to keep the amp at 1 and i still have a problem with my trunk sounding like its going to fall apart. does anyone know of anything that can be done to the trunk to stop whatever is inside of it rattling? or know what is in the trunk lid that is rattling?

I think you're supposed to insulate the trunk with that matting they sell. I forgot what its called but i've seen it at bestbuy so you can give it a try there.

Edit- found it its called Dynamat http://www.dynamat.com/

Any time you install a sub you should also put insulation around the area of where the sub is installed the pros are that the sub will sound more crisp, louder and your trunk won't rattle.

Some other potential sources of rattles:
[ul][*]License plate. Stand behind your car with subs playing, see if license is rattling. Buy those little rubber feet from Home Depot to stick behind if it is.[*]Fuel filler door. Same as above[*]Triangular "emergency" reflector in trunk lid. Might need to insulate or relocate it.[/ul]

Dynamat, Dynamat, and more Dynamat.

Get the Dynamat Extreme bulk pack - part# 10455. It'll be enough to cover the entire trunk and trunk lid. I did mine about two months ago and it makes a huge difference. I also put some on the back of my rear license plate to keep that from rattling too. It won't stop all of therattles, but it should quiet it down, plus your bass will sound much better. Get some extra Dynamat and do your doors while you're at it.

I did the trunk and all 4 doors in about 7 hours.

Look on e-bay, you can get a decent price there.

like they said, dynamat, or sound insulation in general. theres a few companies that make that sort of product. take ur pick. as far u saying" keeping the amp at 1" what do u mean? do u use the knob on the amp to control it or the "sub" function on the deck?

also your liscense plate may be rattling a lot, and what i did was cut out a piece of the padding from under my house carpet to fit the size of the liscense plate, and stick it under the liscense plate

I see 2 problems with that.

1. holds water in and will continue to drip after washing.
2. It will mold and deteriorate.

Some rubber or foam sticky strips work great.
