Default Below 35 mph....

Okay...I know my B7 A4 is more on the performance side of things vs. a putt-putt around town kind of car. Is it me?? Or do A4s not like speeds below 35 mph? I know it has a lot to do with the gearing and my roommate's S4 doesn't like the low speeds either.
It just seems once the car gets beyond 35 mph everything smoothes out. I notice shifts from 1 to 3 much more than from 3 on up. It is not jerky, it isn't a problem, but the car likes to get out and move. Again it does not like to putt-putt...

I don't want to get flamed on this, but I just have to watch my "low-end" speed areas, because before I know it I am off. My A4 is a automatic, I kind of miss the stick other than when I am heavy Bay Area traffic. I get better gas mileage according to the trip computer at 70 to 75 mph than 55 to 65 mph.

Next week I will be in Montana and it is suppose to be snowing, so I can see how the Quattro handles the snow on I-15 up over MonIda Pass on the Montana/Idaho boarder. If you want a highly windy snow/ice covered road in the winter to test your Quattro drive I highly recommend it.
