Hey all!

These pics are probably anti-climatic after Pimlico posted his amazing pics and his 19"s on RS 4 rims,but here are a couple of phone pics of my car after I put on 18 inch RS 4s. They were also taken with my phone...so..!

I was sorely tempted to go 19 with the 35s, but went 18 with 40s for ride quality on Taipei streets and I have two small kids in car seats. (You can see my son's reflection in one of the pics...the little yellow angel!) Love the results personally, but of course I'm vain and seeking agreement! hahaha...nah...criticism is good too!

Question for you guys though
After you changed to larger rims, did you notice that it takes more steering 'muscle' power at low speeds? I can't tell if it's just psychological or real! At driving speeds, I would prefer a bit less assist than what Audi provides, so I am happy about this if it's true. But I park in a VERY tight spot (e.g. my car goes down an elevator, than you pull out onto a metal circular plate, and then it spins to rotate the car, and then you squeeze into a tight spot with about 5cm clearance on both sides...a maneuver that I can now perform as second nature) and I do think the steering is heavier at those speeds. Did anyone else notice this?

I'll second that. I love the RS4 rims man. I think they look really sharp on your car. So they are OEM rims??

yeah, they are OEM rims. The OEM are lighter and stronger than the copies, not cheap, but in-line with pricing on top quality BBS rims. Had them on for a few days....and people ranging from taxi drivers to the car wash girl liked them!

Those looks like the same wheels they put on the Titanium package, just a not painted the same color.

Awesome rims!I didn't really notice any more effort required in low speed turns, etc. But I did notice the significant difference in weight between the 19s and stock 17s.

Hopefully I'll seeyou on the streets when I visit Taipei this summer.

FusionX, you are right the rims weren't cheap, but they weren't insanely expensive. They were about the same price as BBS RG-Rs. The rims come with the factory information and other details to confirm their authenticity, and with the 18" Michelin PS2, the whole set cost about $3600 after haggling about $500 off the price because the owner of the store is a friend of a friend of mine. (My friend is one of the highest volume sales people for Audi in Taiwan.)

I can probably get you the rims for about $600 each plus shipping if that is a competitive deal and you are interested. The secret is that the shop knows someone in the factory and gets the OEM rims before Audi gets them, and so they can sell them without the Audi mark-up.
