A6 2.7T or B5 S4
 

Im looking for a new car which do you recommend the 2.7 or B5 S4. Im gonna be spending around 11k I done some research so i know both cars are available what do you guys suggest?

I was debating on that myself when i crashed my beauty A3..... but then i fell in love with a 01 4.2L V8!!!!!!:D

Yeah but the mod factor for the 4.2 engine is limited

I went with an a6 - any S4 you get for that price range have been ragged on like no other. You can pick up nice 6 speed A6 that's been pampered all of it's life.

depends on what you are looking for, your lifestyle
do you mind the extra pounds?
Do you mind that the A6 is less nimble on back roads?
do you have a family or is it just you (you and wife/GF)?
do you need a bigger trunk?
Do you like the looks of one vs the other?
...
If i was single or just married and did not need the extra room, I would most definitely get the S4 as it is lighter, nimbler and a notch quicker. I drove both on back roads on the Blue Ridge parkway and there is a difference!
Also I find it easier to find an S4 6spd than an a6 so that would sway my decision towards the S4 as well.
I needed the room otherwise I would have bought an S4. But get a good PPI and records as the s4 tend to be pushed more,

Thanks alot Formula. Yeah im single so im prolly gonna swing towards the S4. I have a 2.8 A6 now so i mean i just love the luxury features in it. Is there a big weight difference from the A6 to S4? And is there a 2.7T S-line?
