worn pads light

RE: worn pads light

The light that comes on is a sensor that hooks in to your pad.
when you changed it, you should have swapped it out with a new one.. (it comes with the new pad)

if this isn't 'connected' all the way, it could cause it to short out when wet...
or
have you checked/drained out brake fluid?

hope this helped,
i ended up chaning my brakes because that light wouldn't go off.
i put in Drilled/slotted rotors
with EBC "red stuff" pads...
and when i was changing my front passenger brake, i realized that my sensor had just melted on me
and thats why my light was on..

but
those new brakes, literally saved my life!!!

thanks for the input!! the sensors are nice to have i just wish they would have made a little beter design to them its so tight in there and the connectors are a pain in the a$$ but oh well lol if it keeps it up over the next few weeks i will try having it erased if i can?

The light will stay on as long as the sensor is malfunctioning. It is a straight electrical connection, not a "Code" that can be erased.
