I have to replace my rotors and pads on my RS6.  I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with aftermarket rotors/pads, or doing any replacement work for the same.  The audi shop wants $3k to do the whole job - so I'd like to take a whack at it myself.

funny.. I just replaced my rotors and pads 2 days ago..
It was 1700 to get brake lines flushed, new rotors and pads.

Why would you want aftermarket rotors? the brakes on the rs6 are huge already, and I don't think you will have a problem with stopping.
Do you have any performance mods that you would need bigger rotors?

Is that $1700 for all four???  Much less than I've been getting quoted.  I was thinking aftermarket from a price perspective.

Anyone ever replaced the rotors and pads themselves?....I figure it can't be that hard. :)

Yeah 1700 for all 4.

But I'm tellin you man you won't need bigger brakes unless you have some serious mods on your RS.
