Hello guys I NEED YOUR HELP.
I just bought my 2000 A6 2.7 , mint condition... has everything except navigation [:(] it just has the Audi Simphony Stereo. I NEED to have a navigation system so I purchased this RNS-D navigation unit from the UK, it is not the newest widescreen one.. it actually is the previous model with the square screen... here is the ebay link:

I have been reading thousands of posts about the installation for the last 3 days, but the more I read the more confused I get. Some people say it will be a plug and play upgrade that will take 10 minutes to install... some people say I would need a harness/adapter to convert it to plug and play, and then some other people say I would need to move the order of some wires to different pins... can somebody please tell me the correct installation procedures??
and the last question is about the antenna installation... Is there a way to avoid tearing apart the car in order to run the cable? I have heard that some people just leave the antenna behind the unit and that it still works great... is that true??
Any help is much appreciated!
