Saw that during my daily morning autoblog reading. By the time I finished, keyboard was already wet from drooling. But what the hell, in comparison my 08 suddenly feels....old. It's time to talk to my audi sales....

Hey Omni,

I would look at it from a couple of points of view.

First, it's not THAT different from the current car in my opinion. And, since it's based on the 8P, I bet a lot of the parts can be moved over. For example, I bet you can install the lights on our cars, but you may have to go all the way to getting the bumper too. Cheap? Nope! Fun? YES! haha.

Second, there is a MAJOR change coming in the 2010 model year...from some of the pics on the web and how Audi wants to build a 1-series killer (A very popular Bimmer everywhere except the US) That car will really make our cars look old! Life in a capitalist market! Keep working, hopefully you will be riding in an A5 or something by the time the new A3 comes out!

But having said all that...I've seem some really nice B6 Avants around town and the 8L A3s. They still look awesome if you keep them maintained!

Oh...and almost forgot! It's not like they added something REALLY useful for you US boys...like a TDI! If that came out and I had just bought a 2.0T, yeah, then I would be CHEESED!

Why must Audi tease us with images of the S3?! Hopeufully the S-line will look just as aggressive. I'm not crazy about the new headlights but they're slowly starting to grow on me. I love that they got rid of the side marker lights and put them on the mirrors. The aluminum roof rails look great on this car. Too bad they're so hard to get here in the states.

It's a nice design evolution t of the current A3. Not too different but enough of a change to keep us interested.

I am a big sucker for head lamps. The new headlamp with LEDs on the A5/S5s already have me drooling for a while. One thing that caught me attention in that autoblog report is the electronic (magnetic) damping control. I'm curious to see how that works. However, I do admit that after fantasizing about the new A3, I realize there's not much of a difference after I put a chip and a set of coilovers on mine. Heck, even the RNE-S nav unit only costs about $1250 now.

After email my audi sales guy, he did tell me to wait for the 2010 also.

Man, life of the software peon i mean engineer is hard. haha....I guess 3 years should be enough time to save up for that A5
