First I'm wondering if anyone can help out with me on this post about going to track. So, when I drive in tip mode, and down shift for a traffic light for example, every gear shifted down are quite smooth until from 2 to 1, the car pull itself back quite hard that's not very comfortable, I don't have any CEL so I assuming it's not something went wrong, but being this jerky is not normal to me, so do you guys have the same problem when you use tip mode? And this only happen in tip mode, when I put it in D everything is nice and smooth. Thanks in advance
Wayne

When I've tried tip mode, I've noticed the car automatically shifts, and it won't shift to 1st until it's stopped.  It's probably the same as when you down shift a manual too soon.

I personally don't see the point in playing with that tip crap.  If I'm driving the Audi, I'm gonna let the tranny do it's job.  If I wanted to drive a stick, I'd drive a stick...  The transmission can shift more effectively than most manual trannys anyway.  I don't know.  I think it's probably not a big deal.

ok if u wanna hold first gear get a vagcome n reprogram to 00032 nonsline or 01032 for sline ... then ull hold first but if you notice when in drive ur trans shifts from 1 to 2 at liek 10 mph this was designed like this to produce efficient power with longevity or your quattro and trans in mind ... so when you downshift you are going to get a sh*t load of pull bc of the ratios ... its normal is basically what im saying ... its really not good for quattro system to downshift in these things ... i usually just brake and let it downshift itself(when the rpm needle crosses 1000rpm it will downshift automatically if under no throttle)
