Hey Catdog - sounds like you got a pretty good deal. After further checking I was able to fnd out that the Chilton book says 16.7 hours labor to replace the torque converter. After going back and forth with the Dealer and warranty company for 4 days, they finally came down to 17 hours labor and the AAA wanrranty guys matched it. They are going to cover MOST of it. Strange, Boardwalk Audi here in Dallas, started with a quote of 24 hours labor to do the job, but ended up with 17 hours. At $128 per hour, that's about a $900 drop from the original price. What's up with that??? Am I missing something, or did Boardwalk Audi try to screw me?? Thanks for the reply. Enjoy the Hill Country. It's beautiful this time of year.
