Sometimes while drivingabove/at 3000 rpms the engine will sound/feel like it is knocking or mis-firing. This is the second time I have had this problem. I brought it to the dealership and theyreplaced the flap motorbut it is happening again after only 1 month. They said the problem was a misfire in cyclinder #3 due to the broken flap motor.I just wanted to see if anyone else has had any similiar problems with the 2.0T? Thank you

i'm a tech at a dealer in south florida. you prob already know but the 2.0 engine has a variable intake manifold. meaning, above i think 2500 rpm that flap motor(the one the dealer changed) opens a flap in the manifold for better power at high rpm. never had a concern like the one you described and had it been that flap motor, no have i seen the flap motor cause any kind of misfire, especially oneonly one cylinder, but anything is possible. most times misfires one one specific cylinder are due to faulty ignition coils or fuel injectors. make sure your using what audi calls "top tier" fuels, you dealer can give you a list, cause poorquality gas can cause alot of different/weird problems.if you can, talk to somebody at the dealer and have them give you the fault code and number of whatever faults were in the ecm and let me know. also let me know what trans you have in the car. hope everything works out.

What's up fellas, I have a 07 audi A4 Q. Recently when I upgraded my exhaust, Apr tuning 93 and 100 octane my car started doing it too specially at higher RPM's . I thought it was the gas too not enough octane and it was knocking or the chip increased my timing too much? but it wasn't I replaced the Diverter Valve with a Forge valve and added the forge spacer and problem solved. Now I can accelerate smoothly all the way to redline. The stock diverter valve is very weak and it deteriorate very fast.
