Why is my 03 ag 3.0 so bad on gas?

I traded in a 4.6 liter cadillac that got better mileage!  The computer shows I'm averaging 14mpg but it's my first tank so I'll figure out if it's accurate when I refill.  I got about 16 in 01 deville and 24 highway (the northstar shuts down cylinders on highway)  I figured 3.0 and lighter would be a little better but maybe its the quattro eating up all my coasting.

wel..i'm getting like 18 mostly city on a 2.7t...

18.9 MPG with my 2.8L... with 50% of it being highway. Seems kinda low too... Premium gas is killin my pockets [:(]

Well you wouldn’t put diesel in would you??

They are talking about the grade of fuel... 87,89,91,93. Those are grades of full and they are All unleaded.   I have a 03 3.0 as well I run 93 or also known as premium.  I average 18-20 depending on traffic.

Change your plugs maybe your air filter too, and I don’t mean the cabin filter.

GM cars will generally get better gas mileage than the equivelent European or Japanese car. They just don't get the credit.
