Hi i have just purchased a 1999 A6 4.2 v8 quattro estatewhich has a harsh rattle noise from the left bank only(oil filler side) it sounds a bit too harsh for tappet failure but maybe , the car has done 190,000 miles ..... any possible ideas or common fault suggestions highly appreciated,regards rob
