OEM iPod Adapter... Can I use something else?
 

So part of my deal when leasing my A3 was that they throw in the OEM iPod adapter, which is clearly useless and I just wish I had gone with the Sat radio instead... but didn't.

Anyway, I noticed today that you can simply unplug the adapter cable for the iPod (pics below)

Well my question is, can I plug anything else into this? It looks almost lke a S-Video plug... If possible, I would love to get an adapter that went from 3/8" to this input at say RadioShack and use the output from my sat radio instead... or even better would be able to switch the 3/8" from my iPod to my sat radio very easily if this would work...

Anyone tried this?? Do these types of adapters even exist??

Does anyone at least know what kind of connection this is? I know it looks like S-Video but it is not... that would help out a lot in my search.

Many people who use the adaptor made by "DICE" have been very happy with it.

Audis and iPods....frustration! :)
