If I turn off my car and just running off the battery, radio turns off by itself after 20-30 mins and then the lights go off. I am able to turn on the radio right after it goes off and the battery level is showing 100%.

I think I should get it checked,,,,what do you guys think?

The damn car is smarter than you!

If you forget to turn the radio or lights off it decides the driver is an idiot and protects itself by doing it itself. I'd bet that a half hour after you turn the radio back on it does it again. The only bad thing is that it can be a pain if your on lovers lane and you have to inertupt what your doing to maintain the mood. But then if your girl needs the radio to maintian the mood your not doing something right!

As for the battery level -What do you mean by it remains at 100%? A half hour of radio uses very little power. I'd bet you could run the radio for hours on a good battery before seeing any thing on the voltmeter.

The battery level screen for the early MMI software versions had lots of "bugs" including the battery level always reading 100%.  If I recall you are running version 11. 9. They are currently updating to version 41.1.  I think Audi is charging for the update to version 41.1, I think the update to version 33.4 is still free.  Once the MMI software is updated you will see many improvements including a battery level screen that actually works.  By the way, after you turn the car off hold the "econ" button down for a couple of seconds and the heat will turn on and continue to run for 30 minutes even though the car is off.  Nice feature during the winter when you run in to a store for a few minutes.

I have version 33.4...cleared some bugs, made everything faster but I lost phone ringing functionality. My bluetooth doesnt ring anymore with my phone even though its on the Audi compatible list but it rings with other phone model such as Palm treo 700...I have a blackberry.

I am guessing radio is on some kind of timer or maybe it has mind of its own...AI. I'll go with AI

Glad to hear you got the update to 33.4.  With version 44.1 you get the ring back.  Yes the radio is on a timer, as is the heat if you push the econ button.

I asked Audi to check for 44.1 and they said 33.1 is the latest. Anyway to show or prove it to them that 44.1 is out there and will fix this issue? Thanks

Just reading all the issues with MMI makes me real glad to have an older Audi and hope it lasts forever.  That MMI sounds like the bastard child of Bill Gates.

I remember when they told you that version 11.9 that came with your car was the most current version, and that was only a few weeks ago.  At least the dealer is now up to realizing that version 33.4 came out about a year ago.  Perhaps we can get your dealer into 2008.  I will see what I can do about getting you a copy of the 44.1 announcement, which is about a month old.
