I just got a 1996 Audi A6 2.8L and was wondering what kind of modifications I could make/add to it to increase the power. Can someone suggest any performance products (no cheap useless ricer mods) for this model? Also, do you know if a performance chip is available for this car?

Thanks in advance...

I asked the same question when I purchased my 97A6......So, I went directly to the experts...Audi The engine wasn't designed with performance in mind, so there very little minor surgery you can do without making a major investment. I saw on the internet there is a turbo kit for the engine which will run you about $6000 (not including labor). Might as well buy a newer car.

Simple improvements:
1) Hi Performance Muffler
2) Cone shape Air intake
3) Used Premium Fuel
4) Make sure your O2 sensors are working properly, if not they cause sluglish starts
5) Engine Chips are available, but I was told you won't get full benefit unless you address the transmission with a Chip.
