I tired to make my audi 90 12v 2.8 v6 sound better by removing the resonator and replacing it with a straight pipe. It sounds good but when you rev it the stock muffler sounds like a beehive. I want to replace it. I work in an exhaust shop and my boss offered me a discount on a flowmaster muffler. But I don't know what would sound better. A flowmaster or a straight thru glasspack?

Thnx

ok i used the flowmaster.  I also used a glasspack with it.  It's a straight shot resonator with a flowmaster 40.  I took it out with just the flowmaster and it was so loud it was retarded.  I added the glasspack and that helped a lot.  The only problem with it now is that it has this harmonic "howl" when it idles.  I'm gonna make a small silencer to help get rid of that howl, but other than that, it sounds amazing.  A little american muscle meets the autobahn, its really cool.
