Default NO CODES, Changed temp sens, why still hard start when warm?

Got a 01 A4 2.8L, starts fine when cold(now that the weather is getting warmer, even cold start is a little hard sometimes.) If i shut it off and let sit longer than 10 min, i have to crank it between 5 to 10 times before it fires up and when it does start, the rpm's rise very slowly, need help!! NO CODES, just got scanned. changes plugs, cleaned MAF, changed fuel filter, and I did change the coolant temp. sensor. Any ideas?

I stated in my post that I am getting NO CODES. Any ideas? I dont think it is a fuel pump issue but not sure. maybe coils.

guesses... how does it idle?
maybe the idle controller needs to be cleaned.
vaccum lines replaced.
throttle body cleaning / adatation
check MAF accuracy

tune up stuff:
new spark plugs
plug wires

I'll be curious what you find since my car isn't starting on the first crank now about 10% of the time.

thanks for the reply, every once in awhile it will have a really rough idle at startup, i have to hold in the gas or i feel like it will stall, only for a couple seconds then its fine. Theres almost always a strong fuel smell when cranking so maybe im not getting the initial spark but i just changed the plugs and a valve cover gasket(had a little leak). probly gonna clean TB next.

i had hard start on cold or warm engine did not metter. but just hard start, after the start idle was perfect. changing spark plugs helped out.

you have to use Vag-com to check the maf numbers. if I recall correctly you should see about ~3-5g/s at idle but search on that and you should find the real numbers.
