Here's mine. I had the crappy matte-finish wood trim, so I removed it, prepped it, and painted it metallic silver to match the exterior of my car.

I love the way the silver wraps around your radio, as opposed to stock 1.8T trim that only runs above it.

I'm not sure whether the 1.8T has just regular black trim around the radio or not, but in my 2.8 it was the same woodgrain that is on the dash and doors. It really looked like hell before, so I'm very happy with the silver anyhow, let alone how it wraps the center of the console. Here's a couple more shots from before and after too - you'll see the difference better this way.

Before (yecch):

Thanks man. There's a decent amount of disassembly to get the pieces out but it's pretty easy overall. I think it took maybe 45 minutes total to have all the wood trim pieces sitting on the bench for prep. I'm really glad I did it - that OEM trim looked awful.

It is still under construction and should be finished soon so once the interior is completed I will post the finished product.

The original European B5 RS4 which was never brought to the U.S. had a 9 piece CF interior form the factory,. It included all the belt line trim (6 pieces), the hazard surround, ash tray cover and shifter surround. The person that made this for me does absolutely great work and this is real CF that is over-layed onto your trim. I had the original 9 pieces done just like the B5 RS4 and then had some additional pieces done.

The persons name is Terry and he has his own company called Carbon Copy. Here is a link to his website and please feel free to ask any questions about the interior and the process.

I like the actual carbon fiber! Makes such a difference over the painted stuff.
And the center console in aluminum looks goood! Great contrast.
I'm getting sick of people not taking risks. As much as an Audi is an Audi, it's still a Volkswagen, and I know I'll always do what I want to do with mine, no matter what anyone else thinks of it. That's what tuning a VW is half about is just being different. Mod it like you own it.

Looks good - understated but obviously tricked, like the exterior of your car. It doesn't scream "LOOK AT ME!!" like some do. Also, I'm glad to see that you know the right way to rig up harness belts, instead of tying them down behind the front seat, where an impact could crush your spine. I'm into the look big-time:)

So do I. AF member Varsh drove to my house several weeks ago for some maintenance work, and his car has this interior too - it looks awesome. i used this paint. i took my handles out of the door panel. removed all the switches. used some http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/thumbnails/01-00399.jpg
with a little bit of elbow grease all the paint came off. then i soaked them in hot soapy water rinsed them dried them and took some compressed air and dried out the holes where the switches go. then i painted. turned out way better than i was expecting. i even lightly sanded a nick out of one of the handles. its farely easy, the hard part is finding paint that somewhat matches. i bought two cans and sprayed one of the handles half and half and held it up to the door...the other stuff i got was to white. so i went with "pebble".

you freaking CF whore lol. after all the work on your car, why don't you get a 3 spoke steering wheel too? i think it'd look better than the one you have. just my .02

I used to have a 3 spoke sport wheel, but I sold it for a Victor Racing one from Germany. I like it because it feels way better and I didn't have to give up my airbag. I get a lot of mixed remarks about it but I like it. Here is a better picture but again, not everyone will like it but that's what this whole modding thing is about and that's to do what you like. I may change it one day when I grow tired of it but for now it stays.

it looks to be exactly the same as the three spoke, just with an extra spoke. I don't see how it can feel any different?

First off this steering wheel is thicker than the three spoke one and it is more contoured in the thumb area. It also has indentations/ ridges on the back side for your fingers as well. It also has a slight outer ridge to keep your hands from sliding down.

Again, it just has a way better feel than the sport three spoke it replaced, and I have done some spirited canyon carving with both ... :D
