Default My Experience with OE wheels of Ebay/Sarasota, FL

I just wanted to post up on here my anger and frustration with OE Wheels from Sarasota, FL /Ebay. I whacked a few potholes this winter and was in need of some new tires and rims, because the ones on the car were worn out/dented. Ishopped around, and originally was going to get some from VelocityMotoring, but, they will not have any in stock untill Mid to Late May. I shopped around onEbay, looking for someRS4 Reps that would clear the bigger brakes on myS4. I found these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-Hy...spagenameZWDVW

from OE Wheels. The Ad states that they fit "1993-2005 A4/S4" I called them up, directly asked if they would fit my 2000 S4, was told they would, so I ordered them for around 650 dollars shipped.

They get here (after a week and a half, I might add, after I paid for 3-5 day shipping) I open them up, they look great, I get them mounted, balanced, bring them home, put the backs on, move to the fronts, and, yup, you guessed it, THEY DONT FIT!!! Spokes hit the brake calipers.

I call them up, tell them I have a complaint, and want to return them. They tell me I can't because I already had tires mounted on the rims. They also tell me I should have test fitted it first... WTF?!?!?! I ASKED YOU IF THEY WOULD FIT AND YOU SAID YES!!!

So, long story short, DO NOT order from O E Wheels, from Sarasota FL, AKA moore9911 on Ebay, as they WILL NOT stand behind their product, and do false advertising.

I have filed a complaint with the BBB, but doubt anything will come of it. I simply dont want to see any of my fellow AudiS4wners deal with this frustration.

If you paid via PayPal or a credit card, you may try to make a complaaint through them.

Good luck, I hate companies like that and thanks for the warning.

always Always ALWAYS pay w/ your credit card. Even through paypal!!! I needed to return Klipsch 5.1 ProMedias from ebay one time because one of the speakers was fuzzy. They said on the site that there were no returns on open boxes. What I did was I called them and said that the speakers are defective I am going to send it to you and you are going to refund me my money; they then told me well we will just refuse the item. So I said fine, you do that! I then shipped it back to them with a note on the box (on all sides) saying "Items For Refund" as they wouldn't give me an RMA number. I kept the tracking information and made sure that they would need to sign for the package. I knew they wouldn't accept them but it was what I was hoping for. I called the credit card company and told them what happened. I said that the item was defective and that I had contacted them and they refuse to refund me even after I had sent the product back to them. I added that they would not accept the package and now I am out for the shipping. The Credit Card company (Visa) then asked for proof of purchase and proof of my attempt to send them the merchandise. After about two weeks they credited my account and told me that I was not at fault. I bought a replacement speaker for the one speaker that was fuzzy, for 60 bucks, back in the day and now had a working set of 450 dollar speakers for 100 dollars (60 dollars for the speaker, 40 dollars for shipping).

Never ever ever pay anything in cash/direct deposit/paypal balance if you don't have to. You should try to reverse the charges. Call up your credit card company (if you used a CC). I always change my paypal funding to my credit card. If you paid w/ a balance you may be shit outta luck... Call them anyway. Don't send email, call them. Paypal helped me quite a few times.

"These wheels are manufactured in a original equipment plant to original specification." Says that on the site, use their add as leverage. Screenshots and printouts and stick that in their ass!

Thanks for the heads up. I was actually looking at the same wheels. I have an A4, soI would imagine it would clear those brakes.
