Default Need assistance and advice

have a few questions.

looking into boost gauges: what is recommended for best bang for your buck

i have a really leaky motor mount, should i just replace with a oem one?

i want to lower my car but whats a really cheap coil over kit

gas dial acting odd: when i start it, it says i have like a 1/4 tank less than a few minutes later when its warmed up and sometimes it just tweaks out and shows inaccurate levels when im driving around... is that really weird?

for the boost gauge try this one if you want the steering column one and its a real nice price. Get it with the red VDO gauge cuz mine lights up perfect with the interior.

Check the B5 forumfor info on the Podi gauge. The guy that designs them is super anal and sent back the whole design cus it was off by like 2mm. Plus he's running a preorder sale right now. And ya the VDO gauge matches up perfectly I have the APR pod and got it off ECSTuning for like $125. Or you could order just the gauge for 1/3 that and make one of your vents a custom pod, you'd just need a dremel and afile to make that happen. If you don't wanna pay for installation let me know and I'd be happy to lend a hand, only took me about 1 1/2 hours to put mine in.

VMaxx makes a cheap coil over kit but if you want to track your car or drive hard from time to time you'll want something a little stiffer. If the H&R's or Koni are too much look into a shock/spring combo. Really the only thing you don't get with shocks/springs is adjustability.I'm saving for H&R race springs and Bilstein shocks and that should lower about 2".

And check 034 motorsports for replacement motor mounts, they're a little stiffer and will last longer.

Here's alink for all the different web sites that sell parts for our cars. hope that helps. http://www.audiforums.com/m_55694/tm.htm

if you use the pull down on the menu the last one is the red VDO gauge. Ans yeah i do all my installs myself. That intake tube closest to the front of the engine where i told you to put in th seafoam is where you insert a t fiting and then run that in the slot inside the back of the ecu cover to get to the steering column. It's easy if you just let me know ill help ya. I can also help you with that seafoam and stuff too but we need to do that right before you get ordo and oil change.

You positive the gas dial isn't just flaking from hills? For example driving up a canyon your car will show that you have way less than you do.

maybe that was it and hey mike, i saw that podi has not released the gauge kit for the b5's...

i think im just going to go with something liek a awe tuning center consol vented gauge kit, two 034 street density motor mounts and a aprikol snub mount... while also putting back my test pipe back in.. i just dont know where i should go to get all this work done

you could do the snub mount and boost gauge done yourself in an hour or two.

would takes more effort and time, changing out the motor mounts or changing out the snub mount
