I live in Massachusetts and owned a '02 Camaro SS which had the works (6-speed, procharged, magna flow exhaust, comp cam and valvetrain ect. around 425rwhp) Well it snows here, quite a bit in the last few seasons and my Camaro is pretty much useless if i need to go anywhere. I bought a 2004 Audi A4 Quattro w/ tiptronic and i miss the power already. Dont get me wrong its an awsome carbut slow as hell. Its like a truck in the snow. I'm pretty sure its bone stock. Can yall help me get that wiplash feeling again? Any pointers would be great. Trust me when i say links are worth a thousand words.

Ya its a 1.8t quattro. Another question i've been back and forth with my friend that a dv is not the swoosh sound a bov is. He says both are audible, is he accurate?

a dv might be audilble with a modified intake. but its pretty quiet. the forge 007 DV can be heard in parking garages and busy streets etc.... especially with chip ...more boost. still have to listen for it. but the WHOOSH. is a blow off valve. one of the few good ones on our cars is the forge 004. and its LOUD! ... i have it
i can hear it with all windows up, and stereo loud. plus i'm running 22psi. which doesnt hurt stock is 8 i believe

alright i just bought forge 007 adjustable dv with spring kit, a carbino intake, and an apr chip but im a little confused on how the chip is done. when i bought one for my SS they sent me a whole new chip, apr puts me under the impression that i have to send them my stock chip to them and be carless for a couple of days. could someone clearify this procedure?

auditurbo381, i have an '05 2.0Tq manual and i am very interested in getting a bov for my car. however before i do that i want an idea as to how loud the whoosh noise is going to sound before i get it and don't really have much choice after that. I was wondering if you had any sound clips of your car already or if you wouldnt mind taking a sound clip if you have the time at some point.
but i am also interested how the whole chip process works xsilent13x so if you find out please let me know cuz i am also considering chipping my car

its kind of annoying but they need the stock chip to program, i just went to nearby apr dealer to get my ecu programmed 545 dollars after labor and taxes. another option is to send in your ecu directly to apr (or giac, revo, etc.). i called apr for this info real good service imo. to answer your question harryd14 the bov is known to mess with your engine search for bov / dv's for more answers. the dv was a safer route to go imo its not as audible but good for our recirculating engines. but the do make closed bov's that close at idle.

xSilent13x, you said at the end they do make closed bov's that close at idle... did you mean open bov's that close at idle or am i just not understand you... also the reason why i was interested in a bov is because i want that whoosh sound and i heard that you cant really hear that noise from a dv but you can a bov

i stand corrected i must of typed fast. but yes the dv can make a whoosh sound if you have intake+dv+chip= pretty audible whoosh look forge 007 dv on youtube for some clips. the bov will be a more psh psh sound if you get my drift also much louer than dv.(i dont like it too loud i think bov will rice out theaudi too much imo) look into whats best for you.
