I recently added K04 turbos to my 2001.5 S4. Everything went smooth and worked just fine. I wanted to take it to the next level and finish the swap. I bought the Fuel kit from AWE-Tuning. My Mechanic installed everything but the car won't start. To cut things short we unplugged the MAF sensor. The car started right up. We said ok maybe the Hitachi MAF sensor is bad right!!! Wrong, Still no Luck. We called AWE and they said you computer must be bad then. To me it seems like the ecu is just fine because it runs perfect without the MAF sensor connected. The other thing is that the computer had an apr chip and I wonder if something was set in the computer from the apr chip? Could the chip have a pin not connected and still work? I am just about out of Ideas. All Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your response. I checked the O ring and it seems fine. Whenever I plug the MAF sensor in the car runs really rich. One of theerrors I was getting originally was 18011 P1603 Internal sporatic: Control module : checksum error. I have not recieved that since Iput the chip though. thaterror was when I had the APR chick installed. The mechanic ran the test twice and this is what came out.

I just don't want to buy an new ecuhave it chipped again andhave the same problem. I am sure you knowwhat I mean. I am going to try and find someone with an ecu part number ending in M. to try and see if it is the ecu before I go out and spend a fortune on one. If anyone is willing I will pay them to test with the ecu. I live in NJ.
