Default Transmission Question - Prob easy one for you

Hi,

I checked my manual, but I can't figure out how to find out my transmission code. I have a 1997 Audi A4 2.8L quattro with automatic transmission. Can anybody help me out?

Thanks!

Heith.

There is a data plate on the bottom of the bellhousing end of the trans. (rear of engine). Looks like a DKB or DTV depending on date of manufacture. If you can not get under the car call the dealer with your ser. #. B.
