black exhaust tips on RS6
 

Hi,
What do the black exhausts on RS6's mean? Are they the sound enhancing exhausts?

I believe the regular exhaust has the chrome tips. SE exhaust has black.

I have an 02 S6, but I have a friend that might be interested in an RS6. We drove 2 this weekend and they both had black tips but I usually see chrome tips around.

I think by SE, he meant "sound enhanced".

Um, chrome tips = stock exhaust, black = SE (sound enhancing) exhaust

Various opinions as to any performance improvements of one vs. the other, most say no gains in power, only on aural pleasure.

Most of you guys need to start frequenting either RS6.com or AudiForums.com - info there on RS6 models is abundant.
