our cars don't use vbov's and cold ait intakes don't benefit. still with stock airbox or do the 'darintake' mod which is basicallt drilling holes in the airbox. seach for it.
5000 can get you turbo's and fueling. but yiu would need about 1500- 2000 for labor for the install plus all the little stuff that needs to be replaced if u need a shop to install it for you. that requires the engine to be pulled or if they know how to do it without pulling the engine better for you. with that power yr tc might have some problems.
or for 5000 you couls get a chip, turboback, suspension, bbk and wheels. less money but lookin niiice!
goodluck and the search is yr friend!

BOV's wont help, the 2.7t uses Diverter Valves to recirculate the air. 710n DV's from the TT work great. Forge 007 valves work great as well. Baileys are also good, but I have only used 710n's

You will barely hear anything when you shift.. If you read the forum at the top that mentions BOV, a lot of your questions will be answered.

Lol, oh well, this is one of the most easy mods to do. Take off front engine cover, loosen clamps, pull really hard on the DV, lube up the new ones a little to make it easy to slide in, then reverse!

Hard to say.. there are some online right now for that much but more miles. Check auto trader, or Cars.com.

In a year yes, but the average milage will be about 10,000 miles higher than they are now. Right now you can find some for about 11K with about 90xxx miles! Trust me I have looked all around. As for color get Imola, Nagaro, or Red! From what I hear though these car are very strong. My 2.7t engine is bullet proof, but the other parts of the car keep breaking [:@]. So far only the oil, TB, WP and O2 sensor have had to be replaced! Thats not bad for an 8 year old car.

OK, I have a low milage a6 2.7t..., but really want an s4 because of my tip and this thing is a boat. Would it be worth buying a car with around 95000 miles? I will only be driving it on vacations and what not, so I will only put on about 3000 miles a year. Please let me know if you think its wise.

That's a good way to spend almost $2000 and have a slow ass S4 that'll barely walk a stock one.

Here's some better ideas:

I'd get the Borla single 3" exhaust: http://vastperformance.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=107&osCsid=fb06262a0f 3bcf01fe00929a348c8ea2$820

GIAC X chip: $600 I think

K&N panel filter, darintake mod the box... $45

710N Diverter valves: http://vastperformance.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=49$100 for both

Piggie Pipes: http://vastperformance.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=65$395

That stuff will actually make the car haul ass.

Do the timing belt/water pump/tensioners: http://vastperformance.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=55$345

I'd recommend the RS4 motor mounts: http://vastperformance.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=47$265

Then get a ross-tech VAGCOM and cable, so you can recode the trans to 00032. http://www.ross-tech.com/

I'd recommend some H&R springs, and Bilstein shocks, you can get them at www.tirerack.com (http://www.tirerack.com)

Once that is too slow for you, get the K04's and inlets, RS4 intercoolers, fueling kit, and tuning. Then you will be stage 3.400+ hp. Of course with a tip, you'll need to have the torque converter rebuilt and stalled higher (3000-3500 rpm), and have the valve body in the trans upgraded. I know Level Ten does them, but I have heard some people say go elsewhere, not sure where to tell you to go for the trans stuff.

shit, i like the milteck better, it looks soo much easier to install, the other is borla, then i need the pigges.( is that even llegal

02AudiS4
05-13-2008, 10:20 PM
the thing is i live in ny and they have strict laws, the biggy looks like a staight pipe. does the borla come with the two parts of the muffler and then thats where the piggies connect to the katlerconvertor.

I would recommend a larger katlerconvertor for your first mod. Depending how you install them (vertically or horiz.) you can get anywhere between 70 to 110 hp AT THE WHEELS! Really easy to install too, you could get away with using duct tape since it really doesnt have that much back pressure in it due to its oversize. This will also benefit traction and shift more of the torque to the rear wheels (like the newer RS4s) so that it has better acceleration and helps under steer, along with reducingdrag from the standard katlerconvertor. Search around, I hear theres a new model coming out that will be a supplement of a big turbo and brake kit.

Good luck!
