just get some oem replacement rotors from brembo or zimmerman and then some pads from hawk, ebc, pbr, or mintex and you will be good. These pads will have better braking and less dust also

It has been discussed so many times now, you would help yourself searching here :))) I was in the same boat, i bought slotted PowerSlot rear rotors and slotted Brembo Front ones + HAWKS street perfromance pads. I spent i think about $450 on that. U can go ahead and get even bigger brakes for you car buying b5 s4 brakes. There are a lot of guys/girls selling those. There is a good sale on AZ http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=186185

If you're not a spirited or agressive driver, stick with oem and get better parts. Your best gain will come from good pads. If you want to keep teh front brake sensor setup, Hawk HPS is a well respected opinion. Low dust and good bite. As far as rotors go, you'll be fine with plain but you may want to spring for drilled/slotted for aesthetic reasons. I went with just plain zimmermans. Lastly, good brake fluid will help. You're supposed to change it every two years because it absorbs moisture, which makes it compressible and reduces effectiveness. Try to get a fluid with the highest wet/dry boilign point you can. I went with ATE regular, which I think is called gold. don't get ATE superblue, as some VW and B5 owners swear it causes issues. The gold has same properties just without the blue dye. Motul also makes great fluid but the RBF will probably have to be changed annually and it isn't worth it. If you do motul, get the 5.1. finally, look into stainless steel lines if you want to make the most of your stock brake setup. If you find your stock brakes suck for your driving style, go BBK.
